Men and women of conviction, what we make for the others in HAITI, in a hostile environment, is an exceptional human adventure. Few persons are prepared for it. You the Cubans, who were born in this environment and who especially learnt to give without limit, it don't surprise you. Myself who believed to be strong and ready, am not it. Every day, we would want to run away, not to know how to, not to make nothing, not have promised never. But every day we move forward. It's in it an exceptional human adventure which will stay in our reports for ever with stories to be told our children.
We can say one day in this country HAITI which as Cuba is going to grow up and to prosper:
"
I was there, I helped little at my level, I am proud to have given in
my life ". Not simply give " some money
without looking " either an offering but give the hand which we need,
something which stays. There, now I understand, I admire with an
immense respect the persons who every days are in the street and help
those who don't want any more or who wait for nothing more others. I
says to them bravo.
